Reincarnation: BB Reincarnation: BB

Rated 3 / 5 stars 4 hours ago

Definitely not one of the better ones. I'll admit, I was completely stumped on it, though. Like the last one I played, though, I noticed an issue here. The reincarny's voice clips on the dock ended with another voice clip's beginning, then a cut to silence. Seems like a hasty edit.

Not a bad game, but the Video Walkthrough button constantly gets in the way.

Just a few complaints

First off, this is actually a pretty good game. I'm a fan of the series. It's one of the hardest games I've played in a long while, but there's a rewarding feeling about it. I'll be playing this and even recommending people to play it despite these complaints.

I noticed that, for the boss battles at least, the hitbox seems to be a good few pixels bigger than the actual character. Phanto managed to get me numerous times without actually touching me, same with the koopa shells and magic rings.

There's no real marked increase in difficulty, you're just instantly thrown into the actual game, which is hard as hell at first. The first level gives you a heads-up as to what to do, but the game doesn't ease you into it, it just hurls you in and hopes for the best.

I do like the series, but I've noticed that the further it progresses, the less thought seems to get put into the actual game. For instance, Phanto appearing under the scenery renders it almost impossible to avoid half the time and in the world 2-4 castle at least, the ground gets in the way, meaning the only way to actually avoid Phanto consistently is to hope he spawns under the scenery. Another example would be Nyan Cat's rainbow trail, which appears over the scenery, which potentially blocks off the boss in its entirety.

I've certainly played worse games, but these major flaws have put this pretty far up the list.

The Final Happy Hour The Final Happy Hour

Found a game-breaker.

Reincarnation is one of my favorite game series on Newgrounds, and it's usually pretty glitch-free. But in this case, one's a massive example of a game-breaker. If you turn up the thermostat, open the freezer, then leave before the scene completes, you won't be able to do anything at all.

Aside from that, another challenging-but-fun game in the series.

Interesting

As it stands, I'm only on I think about level fifteen. From what I can tell so far, this is a very good game. It's a unique sort of twist on an already uncommon sort of puzzle game. It's easy to just pick up and play, and quite addictive.

The only real issue I've found isn't a major bug, or even a gameplay issue per se, it just impacts those that want to see the credits. After viewing the credits and returning to the menu, the music stopped and the controls stopped working. Refreshing fixed it, but it still seems like a mildly significant bug.

Pirates of the Undead Sea Pirates of the Undead Sea

Simple, but difficult.

First off, the artwork was just amazing and the dialogue was amusing in places. The game itself played smoothly. I didn't encounter a single glitch, and the only real complaint I have is that it's a little unclear in some parts. I didn't see any direct hint as to what to do with the map or the poster, it was just pure luck that I found out their use. Once you get over the one or two really taxing challenges, though, it's pretty much smooth sailing.

Pokemon Egg Hatcher Pokemon Egg Hatcher

Neat little gadget

It's been a while since I've seen a sort of Tamagochi-styled gadget on Newgrounds. It's nothing too new or interesting, but it's good to see the craze isn't dead yet. The art could probably use a bit of work, though. For instance, the eggs were a bit lopsided and the outlines on the Pokemon were sort of jagged. Otherwise, it was perfectly fine.

Aside from art upgrades - which, honestly, could probably be ignored, it's fine as is - I'd say some sound effects could benefit it. Some blips for the game, maybe some music... Art and lack of sound aside, though, a pretty fun little thing.

Thanks, I tried to make it longer, but I ended up cutting it short in the end :P

Amazing

It was a great spin on a classic setup. The animation was fluid, the voice acting was great - not professional, but not terrible - and the art was outstanding. Keep up the good work.

Rebuild 2 Rebuild 2

Perfect sequel

Rebuild is one of my favorite flash games of all time, I'll admit. This one is right up there with it. The only issue I have is that, where the first one was too difficult, this one is a little too easy. Normal on the other kicked my ass twice, but this one was just too easy. In Rebuild, I lost something like thirty-two people, whereas in this one, I lost four. Doesn't make it any less fun, though.

And that doctor character with his creepy experiments? Just the cherry on top, really.

My Little House My Little House

Uncommon

Not the usual Newgrounds fare, but a nice, simple little game with relaxing music. Good to just kick back with instead of run and gun or strategy-heavy games. Could do with a few other images to select from, or perhaps more complex images as you complete them, but it's still decent. Good work.
